Important!

Replacing the wheels (caster) on your MT3 Mat Transporter can only be done on the current generation model. Click Here to see how to check if you have the current generation model.

Tools You Will Need

  • Replacement wheels (caster)
  • 3/4” open end wrench
  • 9/16” open end wrench

Estimated Project Time to Completion

  • Less than 5 minutes

Directions

  1. Flip MT3 upside down with wheels facing up
  2. Place 3/4” wrench on the top nut facing you
  3. Place the 9/16” wrench on the nut underneath the replacement wheel (caster)
  4. Hold the bottom wrench in place while turning the top wrench counterclockwise until you feel it loosen. Continue loosening until you can remove the wheel (caster).
  5. Retain the bottom nut, replace the wheel (caster) with the new one.
  6. Carefully thread the bottom nut onto the post of the replacement wheel. Place wrenches back on nuts. While holding bottom wrench in place, turn top wrench clockwise until it tightens and is secure

How to Determine Your MT3 Model

The current generation of MT3 Mat Transporters have replaceable casters due to the nut and bolt described above. Older generations of Mat Transporters had casters that were riveted in, as shown below.
